Anna Simmons is an artist and music fan in the Portland scene. She is really into printmaking, illustration, and graphic design, and has loved having the opportunity to create so many posters for such awesome acts.

the bearplanes

The Bearplanes are an up-and-coming indie-rock outfit out of Bennington College in southwestern Vermont. A five-member ensemble, the Bearplanes build their melodies variously around guitar, piano, and violin. Singer Maya Millay uses her beautiful voice like an additional instrument, layering the Bearplanes' lyrics above and below their instrumentation (Millay's vocals have been likened to such singers as Neko Case and Regina Spektor).
